Bei Alphawellen handelt es sich um eine bestimmte Art von Gehirnwellen. Das sind Schwankungen der elektrischen Spannung innerhalb des Gehirns. Je nachdem, in welchem Zustand man sich derzeit befindet, schwingen die Gehirnwellen in unterschiedlichen Frequenzen, zum Beispiel im 8 – 12 Hz Alpha-Frequenzbereich bei Entspannung.
Externe Signale können zur Stimulation des Gehirns verwendet werden. Markus nimmt dich mit auf eine Reise in die Heimat der elektronischen Musik und zurück in die Zeit von Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze und anderen.
Die Alphawellen sind eine Sendung für Musik, die mit elektronischen Instrumenten gemacht wurde. Das ist zwar heute nichts Besonderes mehr, schließlich nutzt fast jeder diese Instrumente, aber hier geht es um eine spezielle Szene, die als EM, New Age, Trance oder Berliner Schule bekannt ist. Es gibt bestimmt noch dutzende anderer Bezeichnungen, aber das ist eigentlich nicht wichtig. Zum größten Teil sind das rein instrumentale Kompositionen, aber es gibt auch einige Titel mit Gesang. Die Musik ist oft emotional, manchmal beruhigend, manchmal ekstatisch und manchmal auch extrem schräg. Mit Synthesizern kann man eben alles machen.
Bis jetzt wird jeder Titel bei den Alphawellen nur einmal gespielt, aber ihr könnt ja alle Sendungen im Archiv finden, und euch schnell mal 2 Stunden musikalische Entspannung gönnen.
Alpha waves are a certain type of brain waves. They are fluctuations in electrical tension within the brain. Depending on the state you are in at the moment, the brain waves oscillate in different frequencies, for example in the 8 – 12 Hz alpha frequency range during relaxation.
External signals can be used to stimulate the brain. Markus will take you on a journey to the homeland of electronic music and back to the days of Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and more.
Alphawellen is a program for music made with electronic instruments. While this is no longer unusual, as almost everyone uses these instruments nowadays, this program focuses on a specific scene known as EM, New Age, Trance, or Berliner Schule. There are certainly dozens of other names for it, but that is not important. For the most part, these are purely instrumental compositions, but there are also some tracks with vocals. The music is often emotional, sometimes calming, sometimes ecstatic, and sometimes extremely weird. You can do anything with synthesizers.
So far, each track is only played once on Alphawellen, but you can find all the programs in the archive and treat yourself to two hours of musical relaxation.

Radio Artland läuft inzwischen seit etwa 5 Jahren. Angefangen haben wir in einer Bar, die während der Corona-Zeit geschlossen war — als Möglichkeit, mit Menschen in Kontakt zu bleiben, die sich nicht persönlich treffen konnten. Seitdem sind wir mit großartigen DJs, einer Vielfalt an Stilen und Genres und — vor allem — einer fantastischen Hörergemeinschaft gewachsen.

Radio Artland has now been running for about 5 years. We started in a bar that was closed during Covid — as a way to stay connected with people who couldn’t meet up in person. Since then, we’ve grown with wonderful DJs, a variety of styles and genres, and — most importantly — a fantastic listening community.
