Thomas, auch DJ Schuby genannt, kennt jeder im Artland. Es gibt kaum eine Feier wo Schuby nicht für Stimmung sorgt. Mit seiner mobilen Anlage ist Schuby die meisten Wochenenden unterwegs. Hochzeiten, Geburtstage, Firmenfeiern und andere spezielle Veranstaltungen gehören zu seinen Auftritten. Schuby ist auch im Rock für Tibet Organisationsteam und sorgt dort ebenfalls für die passende Musik.

Schuby ist eine Vinyl-Junkie und hört fast alles an Musik. Er kennt sich sehr gut mit Synthpop und New Wave sowie der Neuen Deutsche Welle aus und ist großer Depeche Mode Fan. Aber es kann bei Schuby auch gerne mal rockiger werden.

Thomas, also known as DJ Schuby, is known by everyone in Artland. There is hardly a celebration where Schuby does not provide for the right atmosphere. With his trailer full of mobile equipment Schuby is on the road most weekends. Weddings, birthdays and special events are all part of his gigs. Schuby is also in the Rock for Tibet organisation team and takes over the DJ duties there as well.

Schuby is a vinyl junkie and listens to all kinds of music. He knows a lot about rock music of the 80s and 90s and is a big Depeche Mode fan. But it can also be more rock orientated with Schuby.

Friedhelm Saathoff, alias DJ Fidi, ist seit mehr als 40 Jahren Discjockey und in ganz Norddeutschland für gute Stimmung zuständig. DJ Fidi ist in Ostfriesland aufgewachsen, seine Mutter arbeitete als Reinigungskraft in einer Diskothek in Warsingsfehn und so kam Fidi zwangsläufig zu der Musik.

Seine Inspirationen damals waren der „Beat-Club“, eine wegweisende Musik-TV-Sendung in den sechziger und siebziger Jahren und die verschiedenen Piratensender, wie Radio Caroline usw.. Im Artland könnten die Älteren, DJ Fidi noch aus der guten alten Zeit der Szenedisco „Neue Heimat“ in Thülsfelde her kennen. Er hat dort mehrere Jahre aufgelegt.

Ganz gleich, ob Classic Rock, Alternativ, Crossover, Metal, Soul, Funk oder Lounge – der DJ verfügt über eine breit gefächerte Musiksammlung. Sein Musikidol überhaupt ist Frank Zappa, aber auch Rocklegenden wie Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash oder Pink Floyd gehören zu seinen Favoriten.

In der Kultkneipe Kantine in Quakenbrück legt Fidi jeden ersten Donnerstag im Monat bei der After-Work-Party auf. Tanzen ist da Pflicht…!

Friedhelm Saathoff, alias DJ Fidi, has been a disc jockey for more than 35 years and is responsible for good vibes throughout Northern Germany. DJ Fidi grew up in East Frisia, his mother worked as a cleaner in a discotheque in Warsingsfehn and so Fidi inevitably came to music.

His inspirations at that time were the „Beat-Club“, a groundbreaking music TV show in the seventies and the various pirate stations, such as Radio Caroline etc. In Artland DJ Fidi is known as a DJ from the good old days of the scene disco „Neue Heimat“ in Thülsfelde.

Classic Rock, Alternative, Crossover, Metal, Soul, Funk or Lounge – the DJ has a broad music collection. His musical idol is Frank Zappa, but also rock legends like Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Wishbone Ash or Pink Floyd are among his favourites.

In the cult bar Kantine, Fidi djs at the after-work party every first Thursday of the month. Dancing is compulsory…!
